Odelia is a dedicated lawyer with a passion for family law. Driven by this passion, Odelia approaches each client with empathy and understanding. She has represented clients in various contested and uncontested proceedings in the Family Courts, gaining valuable experience in handling complex legal issues such as custody, care, control and access, and child and spousal maintenance.
Odelia assists local and expatriate clients, professionally addressing their unique needs and circumstances. Working alongside Ms. Gloria James-Civetta, she focuses on high-net-worth and expatriate divorces, often dealing with cases that have international elements, demonstrating her ability to navigate the complexities of cross-border family law.
Odelia is pursuing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law (Australia) and will be admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
She is fluent in English and conversant in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.

Odelia’s passion for matrimonial law was ignited during her internship at the Family Justice Courts in 2019. Here, she witnessed firsthand the profound, long-term impact each decision has on clients and their families.
She also came to understand that family disputes are one of the most emotionally challenging and distressing moments that an individual can go through in their lives.
At the same time, Odelia believes that such disputes are not the end of the world, and healing and growth can still be achieved for everyone involved.
After her internship at the Family Justice Courts, Odelia felt an unshakable call to action and is determined to ensure that every party involved in family disputes is not only represented, but also genuinely heard.
Driven by an unwavering belief in the principles of access to justice and therapeutic justice, Odelia is committed to ensuring that her clients leave the Courts in a stronger position and equipped with the knowledge to help themselves and to improve their lives. To do so, Odelia believes in listening to her clients, explaining complex legal concepts simply and empowering her clients to have a say in how their matter is resolved.
She also advocates strongly for alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, like mediation and negotiation, and counselling.
