Ramitha graduated from the Singapore University of Social Sciences in 2023 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in August 2024.
Ramitha is fluent in English and Tamil.

Upon graduating with a Diploma in Law and Management from Temasek Polytechnic in 2016, Ramitha worked as a paralegal for 8 years, with a focus on family, criminal and civil matters. Simultaneously, Ramitha attained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the Singapore University of Social Sciences in 2023.
Ramitha has worked with many clients facing family and criminal matters and has witnessed their pains and difficulties firsthand. Ramitha is committed to helping families navigate the legal landscape with care, compassion, and competence, always aiming to make a difficult process as manageable as possible.
Ramitha’s Family Law Experience
Ramitha’s experience in family law began in 2020 when she worked as a paralegal while concurrently reading law. By the time she was called to the Singapore Bar in August 2024, she had already amassed four years of experience in what is now her main area of practice – family law.
Ramitha believes in a client-centered approach, where listening and understanding the unique needs and concerns of each client is paramount. She works tirelessly to ensure that every case is handled with the utmost care, providing personalized legal strategies that aim to protect her clients’ interests while minimizing conflict and stress.
During her legal education, Ramitha has done a legal clerkship at the Family Justice Courts where she learnt firsthand from FJC Judges how they determine various legal matters.
Ramitha believes strongly in the power of mediation and focuses on resolving disputes outside of the courtroom whenever possible. She understands that litigation can be emotionally and financially draining, and therefore, she is dedicated to helping clients find amicable solutions through mediation. This approach not only reduces stress but also fosters a cooperative environment where both parties can work towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
However, when push comes to shove, and litigation becomes unavoidable, Ramitha is a formidable advocate in the courtroom. Her extensive experience in litigation ensures that her clients are strongly represented, with her strategic and assertive approach providing a decisive edge in legal battles.

Ramitha’s Civil Law Experience
During her tenure as a paralegal, Ramitha has assisted in multiple civil law matters. As a part-called practice trainee, Ramitha represented a client facing a property dispute at the High Court level. She successfully assisted and represented the client at the assessment of damages stage and the client was awarded over S$200,000.00 of the sale proceeds and rental income of the disputed property.
Further, as a part-called practice trainee, she successfully assisted and represented a client in making an application to strike out a frivolous High Court suit that was filed against him.
Ramitha has also assisted in a civil appeal in the determination of resulting trust and presumption of advancement between four co-owners of a HDB flat.
She has also assisted in a High Court trial for determination on whether a HDB flat, as part of the client’s deceased father’s estate, was held on resulting trust for the client. The client was successful and it was ordered that her client held the HDB flat’s entire beneficial interest on trust in favour of the estate. The adverse party was also ordered to pay costs of S$75,000.
She has also assisted in civil trials for defamation matters, and contractual disputes of over S$200,000.00. She has also represented and successfully assisted several clients who have been sued in respect of breaches of hire purchase agreements.
In civil law matters, Ramitha provides comprehensive legal advice aimed at resolving disputes efficiently and effectively. Whether handling contract issues or property disputes, she applies a thorough and strategic approach to protect her clients’ interests. She is skilled at both negotiating settlements and litigating cases when necessary, always with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.
Ramitha’s Criminal Law Experience
Ramitha has assisted in criminal matters, including drafting letters of representation and mitigation pleas for clients who were charged with offences under the Penal Code, Road Traffic Act, and the Misuse of Drugs Act.
She has also acted as second chair to represent a client who was facing a charge of sexual penetration of a minor. She successfully assisted in having the charge reduced to one under the Children and Young Persons Act and eventually, assisted the client to avoid a Preventive Detention sentence.
Ramitha is a steadfast defender of her clients’ rights and freedoms. She approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail, thoroughly investigating all aspects to build a strong and effective defence.
Understanding the serious implications that criminal charges can have on a person’s life, she works diligently to challenge evidence, negotiate with prosecutors, and pursue the most favourable outcomes possible, whether through dismissal, reduction of charges, or acquittal at trial.
Her compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor ensures that clients feel supported and informed throughout the legal process, while her aggressive advocacy in the courtroom demonstrates her unwavering commitment to justice and fairness.
Other Experience
When not advocating for clients, Ramitha enjoys spending time with her three dogs – a Singapore special, labrador and golden retriever. She volunteers at local dog shelters and is an avid animal lover. Ramitha is also a dedicated Liverpool F.C. fan and promises her clients will never walk alone.
