A Will with 2 Executors
An executor is someone that you appoint and name in your Will to administer your estate and distribute your assets after you have passed on. You may appoint more than one executor. The executor needs to be above 21 years old, capable of fulfilling his/ her duties and a non-bankrupt.
It is highly encouraged that the person appointed is someone you trust and is willing to carry out his/ her responsibilities dutifully. We highly encourage you to engage a top law firm to assist in writing your Will professionally.
You may appoint a main executor and a substitute executor. The main executor will be completely responsible in carrying out your wishes and administer/ distribute your assets in the manner as stated in the Will after you have passed on. In the case that there are any disputes, the main executor will have to manage these disagreements.
If the main executor is unable or unwilling to carry out the duties as stated in the Will, a substitute executor can be appointed. The substitute executor will then have to take over the responsibilities of the main executor. You can choose to appoint a main and a substitute executor when you are writing a Will.
