Irked by Flight Delay, Man Attacks Policeman
Incensed that his flight had been delayed a man created a ruckus at Changi airport and attacked a police officer at a hospital after being sent there for treatment.
The man pleaded guilty to two charges of voluntarily causing hurt to a public servant and disorderly behavior on November 18. He was convicted, jailed four months and fined $1,000. A total of four other charges were taken into consideration.
Defense counsel, Ms Gloria James said in mitigation that Fang’s flight to Singapore had been delayed and so was his flight to Zurich. He lost sleep, which led to the incident.
